It must be known to each child born in free and independent India, what it means to be independent. The spirited little hearts of Cambridge International School, Phagwara were to be taught the same. Hence, the school’s kindergarten wing celebrated Independence Day on August 11, 2016 in the school auditorium with great joy and enthusiasm. All the students came dressed up in tricolors. The celebration started with comparing which was done by the little students of Grade KG 2. To instill the patriotic value and love for the nation, the kindergarteners presented a group song, presented few slogans, recited rhymes and also staged a role play on the theme, ”INDIA,THE BEST PLACE TO LIVE IN” . They put up a dance performance showcasing the love for the motherland. All the kindergarteners were so excited and confident while performing on the stage. They learned every aspect of Independence Day through the symbols depicting the same. In the end, Principal Jorawar Singh praised for all for their brilliant performances. They were a delight to watch.
Adding to this, on August 12, 2016, these little students of Cambridge were engaged in different indoor activities. They made wrist bands, caps and collage of freedom fighters to symbolize soaring spirit on the patriotic occasion of Independence Day.
