“Poetry comes alive to me,” says Natalie Merchant “through recitation.” This speaks not just for her, but for all. Poetry Recitation is one such art that needs to be practiced until perfection is achieved. The essential remains that it has to be introduced in a student’s life at some stage, and then follows the practice. Eventually the summit of perfection is achieved. Cambridge International School, Phagwara strives to create gems in every field, creating little poets being one. It is like providing a testing ground for the students to know their affinity towards an art better. The students of grade I to V participated in the poem recitation competition wherein the stage was set for immense talent in expression and articulation. Lovely poems, fantastic expressions, creative actions were seen in students. This paved way to let the teachers know their students better and refine their talent overtime. In a preliminary stage, all students performed. The students who performed well were selected for the next level while the remaining was put to more practice sessions. The idea is to let nobody lag in any competition. The presence of judges gave the students a sense of competition. Applause and appreciation of this competition was the talk of the school. The students displayed exuberant talent.
