The hard work and creativity of the Cambrians culminated in a thrilling and exuberating Annual Function cum Fete at Cambridge International School, Phagwara. It was a day of brightly shining students, their performances and immense talents being showcased on stage amidst happy and proud parents. It was not just a cultural function but also a fete named Cambridge Fiesta which made the day fantastic.
The Cultural Show was the result of efforts put by the teachers and students of Grade Nursery to Grade V. They danced on various themes, appropriately dressed and adorned. The main attractions were the themeslike ‘Rock-n-Roll’, ‘Retro’, ‘Mime’, ‘Dance of Lord Shiva’, ‘Sufi Dance’, ‘Yoga Dance’, ‘Rope Dance’, ‘Salsa’, ‘Hip Hop’, ‘Bhangra’ and folk dances like Gondhal, Lavani, Koli, Rajasthani, etc.
Grade VI to X participated as creators and designers of various stalls which were themed according to the various subjects taught at school. The students created games pertaining to the subjects in which they participated and created other attractions to impress the audiences and onlookers.
The personalities who embellished the atmosphere were Chairman K.S. Bassi, Principal Jorawar Singh, Chairperson Jasvir Kaur and Managing Director K.S. Bains. The chief guest for the occasion was Pargat Singh, also known popularly as the coach of Indian Men’s Hockey Team and ex- MLA. He was fecilitated with a bouquet.
The launch of the school app as well as the Yearbook, were the main attractions of the day. Also, Raffle Draw was the highly awaited event which was declared by the famous comedian Sunil Grover, popular as Dr Mashur Gulati. He also added a lively edge to the show. The student toppers of Grade X and XII were also given trophies for their academic excellence. It was an amazing day that concluded with a sense of contentment and achievement.
