Academics


How is your School an International School?

Our school follows CBSE syllabus. We focus on multiculturalism and being a global citizen while rooted in the Indian tradition.

How is your School different from others?

We are recruiting and retraining the best teachers, offer a safe environment to stimulate multiple intelligences, the best infrastructure and sport facilities, international tie-ups, and advisory board members who are involved with the children’s performing arts and sports development.

My child has a special need in some areas. Can he/she be included in the regular class? What support is available for him/her?

It is our desire to include children with mild special education needs and learning difficulties in the regular classroom as much as possible, with support from our Special Needs Educator. Please speak with our Vice Principal / Headmistress about the particulars of your child’s situation and be prepared to provide reports from his previous school(s) and the results of any testing that has been done.

What curriculum/syllabus do you use?

Primary classes follow a curriculum based on PYP (Primary Years Program). Class VI-X curriculum is based on CBSE syllabus. Class XI-XII will be following the CBSE syllabus.

What fine arts and extra-curricular activities will be part of the school day?

Music, theatre, dance, art and yoga.

What is the program for your Kindergarten/Nursery level?

Our Nursery and Kindergarten program aims to support the natural child development stages. We expose children to learning about themselves and the world through age-appropriate, play-based, informal activities which nurture their language, visual, auditory, creative, and motor skills. The program is implemented through a combination of circle group activities, indoor/outdoor guided play, discovery centers, and story & music time.

What is your academic philosophy?

We believe in the potential of each student and the theory of multiple intelligences which postulates that intelligence is a blend of different types of strengths. We aim to celebrate the students’ strengths and work on their weaker areas to fully develop each child’s potential. We encourage the holistic process of learning in a democratic ethos that respects the individual, the other, and the environment. Exposure to sports and the arts are important to a child’s overall development.

What support is available to my child?

The student support team includes the child’s teacher(s), a school counselor and a special needs educator. Sports coaches also take a personal interest in a child’s development. The student support team will collaborate with parents, children and teachers to find ways to help children learn and succeed.

Who is in charge of your curriculum/teaching methodology?

The curriculum and teaching is overseen by Principal Mr. Jorawar Singh and Vice Principal / Headmistress with input and supplemental training by our international partner schools.

Faculty


Are students with the same teacher all day or do they have different teachers for different subjects?

Students up to Grade I have a Mother Teacher and all academics with the same teacher. And for 2nd onwards different Teachers are for different subjects. This is done to help students feel comfortable in school and in confiding in the teacher.

Are your Teachers experienced? Where have they taught before?

After 6th pay commission, we are paying competitive salaries to recruit the best experienced teachers, as well as new graduates trained in modern teaching methodologies. Our teachers will undergo 15 Days in-house retraining to our philosophy and methods and will have compulsory ongoing training provided in-house and by our international partner schools.

How are your Teachers trained and selected?

We are currently recruiting the best teachers from all schools, both experienced and fresh, and will be shaping them to our philosophy through in-house training.

What is student-teacher ratio?

The Student Teacher ratio in our School is 16:1.

Fees


How often will the fees be adjusted?

Sibling discount of 20% in Tuition fee may be availed of throughout the child’s school career.

Are you using international academics?

We will supplement our in-house CBSE and International Institutions with best practices from our international school partners

What is the nature of your International affiliations?

We have partnered with New Man University, U.K for Teachers Training and Exchange programs of teachers with Ellesmere College, UK. The nature of this partnership will be cross-training, visiting faculty, joint service projects, school visits, language and culture study, and student exchange programs.

Will my child get to study abroad?

There will be opportunities for student exchange programs for the older students in the future. Also, your family may opt to host an international student.

Parent Involvement


How will I be informed of my child’s progress?

Regular progress reports will be given through the child’s teacher, mentioning his/her strengths, weaknesses, and aptitude. You may contact the school to set up a meeting with the teacher, Vice Principal / Headmistress, and/or school counselor to discuss specific concerns about your child’s academic performance.

The school calendar year is from 1st April to 31st March.

What is the School Timing?

(Summer)
Kindergarten: 09:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Classes 1st to 10th : 8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Classes  11th & 12 th :   8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
 
(Winter)
Kindergarten: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Classes 1st to 10th: 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Classes  11th & 12 th :   8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Transportation


Is Transportation facility provided for Nursery/Kindergarten Students?

Yes Transportation Facility is provided to both Nursery and Kindergarten Students.

To which areas the School Transportation facility is provided?

Transport facility is provided to following places:-
Phagwara, Phillaur, Goraya, Banga, B.S.F Chowk Jalandhar, Ramamandi Chowk Jalandhar.

What Supervision is available on the buses?

Bus Conductor(Male), Caretaker(Female) and Driver are present in the buses.
