CIS Phagwara wins the Prestigious International School Award by British Council.
Cambridge International School, Phagwara has won the British Council’s International School Award for the year 2014-17 in recognition of its work to bring the world into the classroom. It also carries an accreditation that allows the school to use the ISA logo for three years.
The award was given away by Mrs. Martin Davidson, Chief Executive, and British Council in New Delhi on 4th December which was attended by Principal Mr.Jorawar Singh. The ceremony was organized by British Council in New Delhi
For this award, throughout the year, the students and teachers were involved in a wide variety of projects and activities, keeping in mind the international dimensions in educational practice. The students were greatly benefitted as these activities exposed them to comparative insight of the world cultures. For this the school also collaborated with Ellesmere College, UK and worked on two projects-Cross Cultural Fest and Traditional Cross Cultural Sports Event.
Principal Mr.Jorawar Singh congratulated the staff and said that the school is delighted to receive this prestigious award in recognition of their work to promote international outlook among children.
