Industrial Visit to Kitty Bread

Each industry is set up by the efforts of many and later to cater for many. When an industry flourishes, it transforms into a goal for an aspiring start-up who wants to create a similar future for him/herself. That starts with the phase of being a student. Thus, many students opt for Commerce stream as a means to fulfill their dreams. Keeping in mind the requirements of Commerce stream, Cambridge International School, Phagwara arranged an industrial visit. The senior secondary students, i.e. Class 11 and 12 (Commerce) were taken to Kitty Bread, Village Panglian, P.O. Heera, National Highway-95, Near Kohara, Chandigarh Road, Ludhiana, Punjab-141112. This trip was conducted for Grade 11 and 12 on 2nd and 3rd May respectively. This fulfilled the requirement of the Curriculum of Business Studies and Accountancy. Enthusiastic about the new learning experience, 55 students from 11th and 57 students from 12th went from the school. They were led by the faculty from school comprising 3 Commerce teachers, Ms. Rupinder Kaur, Ms. Amritpal and Ms. Suruchi Gupta. Ms. Rajwinder Kaur- Quality Manager of Kitty Bread guided all the students regarding the process and manufacturing of breads. Students were given a chance to visit different shop-floors with specific functions taking place on each like sieving, mixing, molding, deepening, baking, cooling, slicing, etc. The process of packaging, printing and dispatching the finished goods along critical control points 1,2,3 was also explained to the students. A comfortable environment was provided where students asked their queries and relevant answers were delivered. Overall, the students were enabled to understand concepts from a practical perspective. This endeavor helped boost the zest of students to aspire for establishing themselves as successful entrepreneurs.
