The students of Cambridge International School, Phagwara, celebrated Grandparents Day on 9th October, 2015 as a mark of their affection and respect for their grandparents. The programme started with a Gayatri Mantra and a rhyme by tiny tots of nursery followed by enactment by KG students. The main idea highlighted through the performances was the values and inspiration that children draw from their grandparents. The main attraction of the event was the games like popcorn garland , catch and throw which all the grandparents played with great interest. Grand Modellling Competition was also organized and the Grandparents added charm to the programme with their enthusiastic participation. Mrs. RekhaSachdeva and Mr. Ramesh Sachdeva and Mr.GurditSingh,andMrs.NeelamSood appeared as the winners in the modeling competition. Winners were awarded with prizes by Principal Mr. Jorawar Singh and he presented his gratitude towards them for their presence to make the occasion a success .
The event was a great success and it concluded with the blessings of all the grandparents and elders present.
