Cambridge International School Phagwara Won the Zonal Cricket Championship

Defeated Saffron School by 58 runs and Ramgharia School by 106 runs

Cambridge International School Phagwara won the zonal cricket championship organized by Punjab schools games.

Cambridge school defeated Saffron Public School by 58 runs in the semi final match. Batting first Cambridge team scored 122 runs for 4 wickets in allotted 12 overs. Yudhveer and Keshav scored 44 and 29 runs of 20 and 17 balls respectively. Chasing target of 123 runs to win the match Saffron Public school team were all out on 64 runs in 9 overs. Hritik and Keshav of Cambridge took 4 wickets each.

In the final match Cambridge School Phagwara defeated Ramgharia school by 106 runs. Batting first Cambridge team scored 158 runs in 12 overs. Yudhveer , Keshav and Prateek of Cambridge team scored 42, 40 and 34 runs respectively. In reply Ramgharia school team could score only 52 runs and they were all out. Pratham and Jatin of Cambridge got 4 and 3 wickets respectively. Thus Cambridge School Phagwara won the cricket trophy and they qualified for the District cricket tournament. Chairman K.S. Bassi and M.D K.S. Bains of Cambridge International School Phagwara congratulated the winning cricket team. Principal Jorawar Singh appreciated the efforts of cricket coach Namdev and congratulated the schoolcricket team in a special assembly in the school.
