My child has a special need in some areas. Can he/she be included in the regular class? What support is available for him/her?

It is our desire to include children with mild special education needs and learning difficulties in the regular classroom as much as possible, with support from our Special Needs Educator. Please speak with our Vice Principal / Headmistress about the particulars of your child’s situation and be prepared to provide reports from his previous school(s) and the results of any testing that has been done.

What is the program for your Kindergarten/Nursery level?

Our Nursery and Kindergarten program aims to support the natural child development stages. We expose children to learning about themselves and the world through age-appropriate, play-based, informal activities which nurture their language, visual, auditory, creative, and motor skills. The program is implemented through a combination of circle group activities, indoor/outdoor guided play, discovery centers, and story & music time.

What is your academic philosophy?

We believe in the potential of each student and the theory of multiple intelligences which postulates that intelligence is a blend of different types of strengths. We aim to celebrate the students’ strengths and work on their weaker areas to fully develop each child’s potential. We encourage the holistic process of learning in a democratic ethos that respects the individual, the other, and the environment. Exposure to sports and the arts are important to a child’s overall development.

What support is available to my child?

The student support team includes the child’s teacher(s), a school counselor and a special needs educator. Sports coaches also take a personal interest in a child’s development. The student support team will collaborate with parents, children and teachers to find ways to help children learn and succeed.

Who is in charge of your curriculum/teaching methodology?

The curriculum and teaching is overseen by Principal Mr. Jorawar Singh and Vice Principal / Headmistress with input and supplemental training by our international partner schools.
