Religious Oneness and Cross Cultural Respect Marked by Janamashtmi Celebration

Each culture has its uniqueness and we are proud to be living in a nation which has a vast diversity of people, religions and cultures. Janamashtmi is an auspicious event to mark the birthday of Lord Krishna- a Hindu deity. Thus, a celebration was organized at Cambridge International School, Phagwara among the kindergarteners. It was celebrated with enormous zeal and aplomb. Little children came dressed as symbols of this festival. The celebrations included dance items and bhajans by little hearts of Kindergarten. A perfect cross cultural union was seen where children of all religions came forward to celebrate this festival. The little one’s of Cambridge Kindergarten looked adorable in the traditional costumes of Krishna and Radha. The cradle of Lord Krishna was put up with lavish decorations and the most pleasing moment was when the little kiddoos were giving swing to Lord Krishna. They felt so happy while doing it. The entire atmosphere had the fragrance and purity of this pious festival. The school auditorium was transformed into a land of joy, celebrations and happiness. In the end, Principal Sir asked few qualities of Lord Krishna from little ones and they answered very well. The entire event was enjoyed by all the little hearts of Kindergarten.
