Educational Field Trip to Axis Bank for Commerce Students

The famous Henry Ford was of the opinion that,

“It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.”

Taking that as a suggestion worth accepting, the students of Grade XI Commerce stream were taken to an educational field trip to Axis Bank, Phagwara Branch. Many students opt for Commerce stream as a means to fulfill their dreams. Keeping in mind the requirements of Commerce stream, Cambridge International School, Phagwara arranged this visit to enhance their knowledge of their field.

On August 4, 2016, Cambridge International School, Phagwara organized an educational field trip to Axis Bank, G.T.Road, Phagwara. 59 students of Grade 11 Commerce went to the Bank along with two teachers of commerce – Mrs. Rupinder Kaur and Mrs. Suruchi Gupta. Students practically saw the working of the banks and got to know about Cheques – Deposit and Issue, Bouncing, Crossing of Cheques, Bank Statement, Pass Book, ATM, Lockers etc. It was organized as a part of Syllabus of Accountancy and Business Studies. Such experiences become a part of a student’s life and what once seen can never be forgotten. We can assert that

“Nothing beats an exciting hands-on experience to deepen learning. The Magic of a field trip isn’t just the subject. It’s the break in routine and adventure that opens up children’s minds to new things.” – Anonymous
