“Those who know, do. Those that understand, teach.”

A teacher is like a channel for the flow of vast knowledge to his/her students. Always striving for more, a teacher is a person who never stops learning and imparting. They rightly say that:

“Teaching is the one profession that creates all other professions.”

Shouldering such a responsibility is a tough task and one always needs to update oneself with what is latest. It is true that men learn from their own experiences but it is also true that one is continuously learning from other’s experiences as well. Thus, workshops make the latter much easier to reach to others. Cambridge International School, Phagwara took advantage of one such similar opportunity to make its teachers grow better.  A workshop, conducted by Goyal Brother Prakashan with the Resource person Dr.Balbir Singh, was held at Police D.A.V School Auditorium on 7th May 2016, Saturday. It was a great platform where our two teachers from Commerce Department namely, Ms. Rupinder Kaur and Ms. Suruchi Gupta got a chance to grow. Mr. Balbir Singh is himself an eminent teacher, author and mentor who shared his experiences of teaching with the teachers. Being attached to his profession since long, his treasure of experience was immense. He dwelled on the latest trends in C.B.S.E syllabus of Accountancy and Business Studies classes XI & XII for the coming academic session. He also guided the teachers about project making for the above subjects. In an attempt to cover all aspects of the subject and give an all-round view to the teachers, he also discussed the methodologies pertaining to project work and practical teaching. Dr. Balbir Singh also took queries of the teachers at the end. He responded very calmly to all the queries and ended the workshop where teachers felt being at a level higher than what they were at their arrival. This workshop extended an overall development. Thus, the gist can be wrapped up in the following:

"Find your passion, learn how to add value to it, and commit to a lifetime of learning."
