The highly-awaited Investiture Ceremony of Cambridge International School, Phagwara for the academic session 2016-2017 was held with integrity and passion. Its precursor was a well-planned election process held with a procedure specific to the same. The students stood as candidates and Principal Sir guided each to cast their votes fair. Democracy was the key. This was a kind of picture for the students of the school about how actual voting is done. Investiture ceremony is one of the most important events of this school. It is here that we entrust faith and hope in our newly appointed student council. This ceremony makes every student, who is elected as leader, feel proud and responsible. There comes in each chosen leader a sense of belongingness towards his/her institution.

Worthy Chairman of the school and Chief Guest for this occasion, Mr. Bassi brought his charming self to this ceremony to make it an even more shimmering event. Titles, badges and sashes were objects of prominence. School’s NCC cadets escorted the dignitaries to the venue with great pomp where the latter initiated the ceremony by lighting the lamp and asking God’s grace. Managing Director, Madam Administrator, Principal Sir himself were there. A student council works at the level of students for the smooth functioning. They also are a link between the students and the teachers, who finally link up to Principal sir. Thus, the oath was enunciated by Principal Jorawar Singh and the students reproduced it word to word. The students promised for selfless duty, responsibility and dedication for their posts. It was time for the Head boy and the Head girl of session 2015-16 that they bade goodbye and passed on their responsibility onto fresh shoulders. They shared their thoughts and journey of their esteemed responsibility and gave their best wishes to the student council of 2016-17. The ceremony was concluded with the National anthem. For Cambridge International School, Phagwara it was a memorable day indeed.
